Few things are as heartbreaking as watching a family struggle with the decision to either endure long commutes—spending over two hours multiple times a week—to another city for their child’s hockey dreams, or to give up the sport entirely because the local organization lacks enough players to form a team. Neither option is ideal, and we understand the difficult choices families face.

Founded in the fall of 2022, the Mid-South Amateur Hockey Association (MAHA) was established to support players of all ages and skill levels, from 6U to Highschool. Despite facing challenges along the way, our commitment remains steadfast: to develop MAHA into a thriving nonprofit dedicated to expanding the reach and impact of hockey throughout the Mid-South.
