This summer (May 18 - August 26, 2024), MAHA will host our inaugural 10k 4 10k Challenge! Collectively, our youth hockey players will rollerblade, run, and/or walk 10,000 miles during the summer months to promote health and fitness while raising $10,000 for the local youth hockey programs. If you’re counting, that’s 100 miles per day for 100 straight days - a tall order for a single individual - but an attainable goal when taken on by a community!

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT:

  • Participant eligibility:

    • All Mid-South youth hockey players residing within a 100 mile-radius of Memphis, TN and who are eligible to participate in an 18U program or below during the 2024-2025 season.

  • Participation miles:

    • Only walking, running, and rollerblading miles will count during this event (sorry bikers).

    • Proof of miles will be verified using fitness applications (e.g., Apple Fitness, MapMyRun, etc.) and submitted weekly to MAHA.

        • Not all miles are created equal, so each mile will be calculated using the following multipliers:

          • Rollerblade: Total miles x 0.75

          • Walk: Total miles x 0.5
